Hi Bugman,
I’m from the Philippines, and spotted this colorful bug on the wall of my house last April 2013.
It was quite large measuring 2 to 3 inches.

We identified your Hemipteran as a member of the genus Pycanum on Project Noah. We learned on the Heteroptera website that it is in the family Tessaratomidae.
Actually a species in the genus Mattiphus. The 3-4 species in the Philippines are somewhat difficult to separate.
I found one in my house too! In the water hose, i kinda sealed it, its gold-ish
I find one in my house too.. its cute and not harmless
