Black Swallowtail Caterpillar

Dear Melanie on the Irish Chain,
This is a Black Swallowtail Caterpillar, often called a Parsley Worm or Carrot Worm by home gardeners because of their host plants.  The adult Black Swallowtail is a beautiful butterfly.

  1. I have many, many yellow jackets and wasps in my property. They seem to be attracted to the caterpillars. How can I rid my place of the caterpillars?
