Dear Adam,
This is a Long-Jawed Longhorn Beetle,
Trachyderes mandibularis, a species described on BugGuide as “Distinctive, but variable.”  Texas Entomology lists host plants as:  “Celtis sp. – Hackberry, Ficus sp. – Ficus, Tamarix gallica – French tamarisk” while BugGuide has a totally different list of host trees:  “Citrus, Parkinsonia, Salix, Celtis.”
