This is a Giant Silkmoth Caterpillar in the family Saturniidae. Perhaps one of our readers will be able to supply a species identification.
Looks like Citheronia sp.
Thanks Cesar. If you are correct, our North American representatives from the genus are much more spectacular, including the Hickory Horned Devil.
The most common species here are C. brissotii and C. laocoon. brissotii use to be grey with large horns, and laocoon like this one in the picture, but we have other species like hamifera and phoronea.
