Flower Longhorn: Strangalia famelica

Dear Ellen,
This is a Flower Longhorn Beetle in the subfamily Lepturinae, and we identified it as
Strangalia famelica thanks to this BugGuide image.  According to BugGuide:  “Adults come to flowers for nectar and/or pollen” and “Larvae feed on decaying wood of chestnut, oak, birch.”
