This photo was snapped on the bank of the flint river in Upson county, Georgia in May. I would love to know what this bug is.

Hi Zack,
These are actually the nymphs of a large flightless Grasshopper known as the Eastern Lubber Grasshopper,
Romalea microptera.  Some years they can be especially plentiful.  You can find additional information on BugGuide.
