Hi. I saw this in my garden on 9th September; it’s the start of Spring here. I’ve never seen one before. Can someone identify it?

Dear Jiten,
This is a Coffee Bee Hawkmoth, Cephonodes hylas, a species found in many parts of Asia, Africa and Australia. We found it pictured on FlickR and BioDiversity Explorer. This is a diurnal species that can easily be confused with a large bee or a hummingbird.
Thanks very much for the prompt response and the great service.
Have a good day.
Regards
Jiten
