No idea what kind of insect this is but it is on our front porch with some of its friends. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
We are quite confident, because of the moniliform or beadlike antennae, this is Neohermes californicus based on this BugGuide image. BugGuide does not provide a common name, but Charles Hogue, in his awesome book Insects of the Los Angeles Basin, calls this a California Dobsonfly.
