Please identify this bug outside my house. We are overwhelmed with them right now and I’ve lived here 25 years. We’ve never seen them before. They’re approximately 3/4-1 inch long

    Thank you! These are swarming around my yard. We are having a dry summer and at first I thought they were more Cicada Killer Wasps. Glad to know these are just beetles

    In New Buffalo, MI- extreme sw corner of the state.
