January 14 and 15th 2016 I drove down to L.A. county area around Mt Pinos and Sanberg with Joe during the last storms in search of the Rain Beetles called Pleocoma linsleyi – males. We were successful! We also found a couple Pleocoma badia males as well. Home made Blacklites were the ticket from 5:00 to 6:45 am . Rain Beetle

Dear Gene,
You are amassing quite a collection of different species of Rain Beetles.  Thanks for providing us with documentation of what the 2016 rains are producing.  In the future, you may send larger digital files as the quality of the smaller files is considerably less detailed when posted online.
