Dear Aaron,
This is a Broad Nosed Weevil, and we believe we have identified it as a Wattle Pig Weevil in the genus Leptopius thanks to the Brisbane Insect Website. You can also find images on Project Noah.
What's That Bug? does not endorse extermination
This is indeed a Wattle Pig – the greater number of lumps and spines on its back help identify it as Leptopius maleficus. I live in an area where these guys are quite common, so I hope this helps!
Thanks for the confirmation.
