Hi, I saw this small fly (first thought was Drosophila) sitting on my orchids.
The body is about 4 mm lang, the wings about 8 mm.

Dear Bugman, my name is MK. My husband found this bug last night, 09/01/14, in the evening. It had a very long stinger on the front and kept trying to snack at my husband. We found it in the garage. We Live in a suburb of Philadelphia. Any information would be great, thanks.

Subject: bugs ate holes in sheets

We left home for two months and when we returned, these bugs were in a bed that had dozens of holes in the sheet; presumably eaten by these bugs. the bugs were under the sheets, on the mattress cover. Are these bed bugs? No sign of them since we washed bedding and destroyed sheets.
