True BugsAny clue as to what this is?
I recently was in the middle of the Everglades National park and saw this … it stayed on the flower for two days. No one that I have spoken too can identify it. I was hoping y ou might be able to as I don ’t even know where to begin to classify it at a higher level to be able to work my way down J Thank you in advance for any information you might be able to provide …

Hi Kristin,
This is a wily and patient Ambush Bug, which as its name implies, is a predator that will wait on a flower to ambush the pollinating insects that will be attracted to the blossom.
