My eight-year-old found this in our desert ‘yard’ in Tucson, Arizona in October, so that’s an eight-year-old thumb if it helps you size it. I’ve been meaning to look it up for five months now. This is a Pipevine Swallowtail, Battus philenor, Caterpillar. The foodplant consists of both native and cultivated pipevine.
