Owlet CaterpillarsMy son found this caterpillar in the garden of our Northern Virginia home. Could you tell us what it is? We’ve tried looking it up with no luck.

Hi Melissa,
This caterpillar is known as The Laugher, Charadra deridens. It feeds on the leaves of beeches, birches, elms, oaks, and other broadleaf trees.
