Toe BitersWhat’s this bug???
Hello..
I am a pilot with Canadian Helicopters in Moosonee, Ontario, on the coast of James Bay. This is a beetle/bug/creature that regularly visits us here..it is quite menacing-looking. Do you know what it is? Does it bite? Enquiring minds want to know

Hi Walter,
Luckily you didn’t use your foot for scale or the Giant Water Bug, also known as a Toe-Biter, may have taken a chomp. These aquatic True Bugs also fly very well.
