herpyllus vasifer cheryl Eastern Parson Spider

Hi Cheryl,
Herpyllus vasifer is found under stones and rubbish on the ground, between boards and in crevices in dark placesl. It runs with exceeding rapidity. It is widely distributed in the U.S.

September 9, 2010
Since posting this letter we have learned that the species name has been changed to
Herpyllus ecclesiasticus, and the common name is Eastern Parson Spider.
